Lone Star 811 is pleased to announce that it was recently awarded a three-year extension for one-call services in the state of Texas by CenterPoint Energy (CenterPoint). Unique among United States damage prevention laws, Texas allows facility operators to choose the operator of their one call service. Accordingly, CenterPoint conducted a competitive bid to select their service provider for the next three years. OCC learned recently that CenterPoint had chosen Lone Star 811, the notification center OCC operates in Texas, to continue serving as its provider of choice.
